SPACE workshop - Paridhi
Students of DAV Public School Pushpanjali Enclave participated in the project PARIDHI conducted by SPACE organisation on 22/12/2018, Saturday. Five students from class 7 were given this opportunity to participate in this workshop conducted at the Qutub Minar, Delhi.
'Project- PARIDHI' is a flagship project of SPACE.
It is a hands-on science activity in which participants measure the shadows cast by the Sun, and using trigonometry formula calculate the circumference of the Earth.
The project holds novelty as Greek Astronomer Eratosthenes, the first person who measured the size of the Earth using the same method about 3000 years ago.
