Students of class 7A were taken to the lab to demonstrate chromatography. The procedure was explained to them and demonstrated. Students were inspired to conduct chromatography on their own at home.
Today students of class 7A participated interestingly in an activity to compare the saturation levels of different solutes available in the kitchen. Different samples of solutes like salt, sugar, coffee etc were made to dissolve in equal quantities of water. Students were excited to know the saturation levels of solutes.
Today class 8 students were demonstrated an activity to separate the suspended impurities in water by a physical process called filtration. Dirty water containing suspended impurities was made to passs through the filter paper. Bigger solid impurities get trapped in the filter paper whereas clear water gets collected in the beaker.
Class 7 was demonstrated an activity using filter paper to separate insoluble solids from liquids. Students actively participated in the class and showed a keen interest in the same. They also learnt to apply the knowledge gained in their everyday lives.

Today a science activity was conducted in the class to show the students difference between elements and mixtures. Their physical properties were also discussed. Students were shown sulphur powder and iron fillings seperately. Then their mixture was made and method to separate the two was also demonstrated showing a bar magnet.
